Cambodian New Year in Québec City
In the 1980s and 1990s, some 500 immigrants from Cambodia chose to settle in the Saint-Sauveur district of Québec City. Chaul Chnam, the Cambodian new year, has been celebrated there every year since. We see here the event taking place at the Centre Durocher community centre. As part of this ceremony, Buddhist monk Long Chrin is surrounded by several traditional dishes.
