Wearing number 18, young outfielder Ellis Valentine played for the Quebec Carnavals in 1974. He moved up to the Montreal Expos in 1975. A powerful hitter and fast runner, he was one of the most talented Carnavals players. However, weighed down by personal problems, his career did not take off as hoped.
