A young Gary Carter passed through the Quebec Carnavals in 1973. Wearing number 48, he enjoyed a brilliant season, with 15 home runs. He moved up to the Montreal Expos in 1974. One of Major League Baseball’s top catchers in the 1980s, he was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame after a very successful career.
