Father Boulay and children picnic in Lac-Beauport. At the time, this small mountain village was home to farmers and vacation-goers. It was an enchanting spot for a picnic! Much of the population was English-speaking. French-speaking Catholic congregations—of which there were many at the time—also organized outings here for children from the city.
