Aerial view of a section of Old Québec
One of UNESCO’s criteria is tangible heritage. This aerial photo is a good representation of the urban setting of Old Québec. The district is notable for its French and British architecture and its fortifications, which are virtually intact. The Château Frontenac and the Citadel are two examples of Québec City’s rich built heritage.
