Notre-Dame-des-Victoires Church
The history of Place Royale is inextricably tied to that of Notre-Dame-des-Victoires Church. The church was built in 1688 on the ruins of Samuel de Champlain’s second settlement and Damage from the bombardments of 1759 and then a fire led to a major restoration in 1816, with guidance from architect François Baillairgé.
