The St. Lawrence River from Québec City’s highest point
Perched atop Cape Diamant, watercolour artist and Royal Army admiral Michael Seymour took an original perspective of the landscape surrounding Québec City. You can see the river, the Laurentian Mountains and a few boats cutting through the water. This is the first of 16 images Seymour sketched in Québec City and Ontario in 1846.
