Originally run from a small house, the Caisse Populaire de Beauport was founded in 1908, eight years after Alphonse Desjardins created the institution in Lévis. He relied on support from the Church to gain people’s trust. In this photograph, the Harmonie de Beauport celebrates the Caisse’s 50th anniversary.
