Drum
This drum was used by Marguerite Vincent, founder of the Kabir Kouba folk dance troupe, during performances in the 1960s. It represents the coat of arms of the Huron-Wendat Nation. The nation’s animal is the beaver, a symbol of intelligence, endurance and pride. Its lodge represents the community and the home. The circle represents circular thinking: all the elements of nature are interconnected.
