The public market on the Place de Paris
Just like the many booths set up across from Notre-Dame-des-Victoires Church in Place Royale, Place de Paris also hosted a re-enactment of a public market as it would have been in Frontenac’s day. Very popular at the time, the markets provided a place for Indigenous and French people to meet and trade, and for craftspeople to sell the fruits of their labour.
