For the 1998 edition of the Fêtes de la Nouvelle-France, history buffs re-enacted the Battle of the Plains of Abraham. Also known as the Battle of Québec, the September 13, 1759, event was a pivotal moment in Québec City’s history. It was when British troops captured and occupied Québec City, the capital of New France.
