In the early days of the WHA, a face-off at the Colisée de Québec pitted the Quebec Nordiques against the Winnipeg Jets. Nordiques and Jets captains Jean-Claude Tremblay and Bobby Hull, respectively, went up against each other in the face-off. These players had left the NHL to try their luck in the WHA.
