A public market for the Médiévales festival
Public markets were particularly important in medieval towns. They enabled locals to obtain the foodstuffs they could not produce themselves. The Valence group from France reproduced part of a public market as it may have been at the time, offering mainly onions, cabbage, turnips and bread.
