Young prodigy Andre Dawson played briefly with the Quebec Metros at the start of the 1976 season. Hitting an average of .357 with 8 home runs in just 40 games, he was quickly promoted to the Montreal Expos that same year. He then enjoyed a prolific career in major-league baseball, notably with the Expos.
