After a devastating fire in 1911, the Dominion Corset building was rebuilt from modernized plans. However, architect Georges-Émile Tanguay decided to retain the Second Empire style of the previous building. Luxury polychrome materials, such as red brick and white refractory brick, decorate the facade. At the time, it was considered one of the most beautiful factories in the country!
