This aerial view shows the Galeries de la Capitale. This shopping centre opened in 1981 in the Lebourgneuf district, then a new Québec City neighbourhood quickly being deforested. Its main stores were Eaton’s, The Bay, Provigo and Simons. It grew rapidly to become one of the largest commercial complexes in Eastern Canada.
