Québec City’s Chinese community celebrated Japan’s surrender after eight long years of armed conflict. The Second Sino-Japanese War began in July 1937 and ended at the same time as World War II, in September 1945. Members of Québec City’s Chinese community organized a parade to mark the occasion.
