Organized baseball in Québec City dates back to the 1920s. At the time, it was played in Fontaine Park, in the Limoilou district. In October 1924, an extraordinary event took place there. Québec City residents got the chance to attend a demonstration game between two major league baseball teams: the New York Giants and the Chicago White Sox.
