Arch for the National Eucharistic Congress in Québec City
This image shows the temporary triumphal arch that was set up for the Congress. It was located at the entrance to the Petit Séminaire de Québec school on Côte-de-la-Fabrique Street. It bore this inscription in French: “Take, eat. This is my body. Drink, all of you. This is my blood poured for you.” Quite the testament to the dominance of the Catholic Church at the time!
