Aerial shot of the Québec City Eucharistic Congress site
This image gives an impressive aerial view of the site of the 1938 National Eucharistic Congress in Québec City. It was the only such event in Canadian history. This is also where the high mass was held on June 23. Cardinal Villeneuve, Archbishop of Québec, sought to use this event to invigorate the Catholic faith and make the most of the province’s modernity.
