The initial plan for the Château Frontenac was designed by the American architect Bruce Price to allow for several successive expansions over time and so its irregular shape works well with its style. Price also “borrowed” certain features from drawings the Québec City architect Eugène-Étienne Taché had presented to the Fortress Hotel Company.
