A dog team in front of the Palais des Arts
We see here an eight-dog team in front of the Palais des Arts. The animals are harnessed in pairs to the sled’s central line. Dog-sled drivers are called “mushers” because of a misunderstanding. When the French Canadians would shout “marche!” (meaning “walk”), English speakers understood “mush” instead.
