Landslides on Champlain Street
Landslides caused many accidents near Champlain Street, a working-class and largely Irish neighbourhood. In 1905, the Cap-Blanc area was still at risk and the federal government was often asked to better protect residents. A number of works were underway to reshape the embankment and soften its slope.
