Women working at the Saint-Malo munitions factory
In Canada, some 261,000 women were involved in the production of military goods during World War II. Dominion Arsenal quickly became the main employer in the Québec City region, thanks to its prolific production. Workers performed tasks that were meticulous and also quite dangerous, such as putting the primer in the bullets.
