State dinner at the Québec Conference in 1944
The evening reception at the 1944 Québec Conference brought together a number of important historical figures. From left to right are Clementine Churchill, Quebec lieutenant-governor Sir Eugène Fiset and Eleanor Roosevelt, the wife of the U.S. president. We also see prime minister Mackenzie King, Sir Eugène Fiset’s wife and U.S. Ambassador to Canada Ray Atherton.
