Québec City, seen from Lévy Point
This canvas by the famous painter Cornelius Krieghoff depicts a country scene in Saint-Joseph-de-la-Pointe-Lévy, near Québec City. We see two men chatting in the foreground. One carries an axe, the other a rifle, reflecting the importance of forestry and hunting in the region in the mid-19th century.
