Horse-drawn tram at Champlain Market
The Quebec Street Railway was founded in 1863 by a group of businessmen. Pulled by two horses, the first tram ran on wooden rails. It linked the Champlain and Jacques-Cartier markets to the Saint-Ours toll station. Here, the eye is drawn to the silhouette of the Dufferin Terrace in the background.
