This panoramic view of Québec City shows the Saint-Charles River and the town of L’Ancienne-Lorette in the distance. Like Québec City, most of its inhabitants were French-speaking. L’Ancienne-Lorette is also nearby the Huron-Wendat community, whose history is closely linked to that of Québec City.
