Portraying Québec City around 1885, this landscape features the St. Lawrence River. We see boats sailing by, probably carrying goods. Settlements are visible on both sides of the river. The roofs of the houses in the Montcalm district rise up behind the green hillocks. In the distance, we can see the village of Beauport on the riverbank.
