Wigwams at Lévy Point, Lower Canada
At the turn of the 19th century, nomadic Indigenous groups, such as the Maliseet and Abenaki, visited Lévy Point seasonally. This point overlooks the St. Lawrence River, just across from Québec City. Based on drawings by artist George St. Vincent Whitmore, this engraving shows an Indigenous summer encampment at Lévy Point.
