Floor plan of the Intendant’s Palace, destroyed during the battle of 1775
This plan shows the two storeys of the Intendant’s Palace, built in 1684 in Québec City. It was first destroyed by fire on January 5, 1713, and again during the Battle of Québec on December 31, 1775. It was the American revolutionaries’ first major defeat in the early days of the American War of Independence.
