Chalice
This solid silver chalice was made between 1687 and 1691 approximately, in France. Its tulip-shaped cup is plain and polished. Its simplicity is typical of the objects the Jesuits used in the 17th century in their missions with Indigenous Peoples. This chalice may well have been part of the mission’s original sacred vessels.
