This solid silver tripod crucifix is part of a set of six candlesticks of the same model. Made around 1725 or 1726, it is believed to be the only silver set from New France still in existence today. The inscription in the medallion at its base reads “ND LAVRETTE H” for “Notre-Dame-de-Lorette-Huron.”
