Reliquary
This reliquary is in the shape of a shirt to evoke the relic of the Blessed Virgin’s garment kept at the cathedral in Chartres. Made between 1678 and 1680 approximately, it  was given by the Canons of Chartres to the Huron-Wendat Nation in gratitude for their gift of wampum. Highlighting the Huron-Wendat devotion to the Virgin Mary, it contains the bones of several saints.
