1972-1977 Québec City in the days of professional baseball In 1971, the adventure of the Quebec Carnavals baseball team began! The team was affiliated with the Montreal Expos, the first Major League Baseball team in Canada. The Carnavals were the Expos’ farm club in the Eastern League. Québec City baseball fans had the opportunity to watch Expos prospects such as Gary Carter and Andre Dawson, future members of the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame, play at the Stade Municipal.
