1971-1979 Québec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament Founded in 1960, the Québec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament is the world’s most prestigious junior hockey tournament. Held in February, it has welcomed teams from some 30 different countries over the years. Many locals attend this unifying event to try and spot players who could go on to play professionally. To date, more than 1,250 future National Hockey League players have played in the tournament, including Guy Lafleur, Wayne Gretzky, Brett Hull, Mario Lemieux, Patrick Roy and Sylvain Côté.
