1885-1885 A 360-degree view from Québec City in 1885! Between 1885 and 1889, wealthy Montréal lawyer David Ross McCord commissioned the British artist Henry Richard Bunnett to paint a series depicting the buildings, views and places around Québec City. Comprised of over 200 pieces, the resulting collection is quite the treasure trove of heritage. Among the commissions was a series of six paintings of overviews of Québec City, as seen from the turret of the city’s prison.
